A BIT ABOUT ME

"Geraldine is a passionate, dedicated and inspiring workshop leader. Not only is she trained at the highest level, she brings both her experience and her humanity to her teaching and generates a committed and powerful energy within a group of students." David Furlong, Artistic Director, Exchange Theatre.

In September 2006 I  received a Dance and Drama Award from The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London where I studied on the intensive Postgraduate One Year course. Previously in 2005 I co-produced ‘The Story of the Panda Bears Told by a Saxophonist who has a Girlfriend in Frankfurt’ by Matei Visniec at The Edinburgh Festival with Rouge28 Theatre. The play received rave reviews including a 4 star review in The Scotsman. After playing the lead role of May in 'The Accrington Pals' at Alra and armed with a Diploma in Professional Acting, I worked for a variety of theatre companies including Hurricane Productions and Theatre without Borders, touring schools and other venues, performing and running workshops. Over the years I have loved performing in the most weird and wonderful places, including a rooftop in Cairo and the Romanian Embassy in London. For some years I have also lent my voice for educational products (Teach Yourself French, Livemocha online) and more recently for a multilingual toy. More recently I worked for the wonderful Exchange Theatre company based in London, performing at the ‘Voila’ festival at The Cockpit Theatre, being a storyteller at the French Institute and teaching to adults in a weekly class.
